Carson Elementary STEAM Magnet

Through inquiry and dialogue, STEAM becomes our interdisciplinary approach to learning, where students engage in identifying real world problems as they ask questions and consider multiple perspectives. Students use the disciplines as a tool to problem-see and problem-solve. Students empathize, inquire, and develop innovative solutions through design thinking, and draw on their creativity to communicate their ideas and effect change.

Important Information for our first week back:

Good day Carson families,

Welcome back! We are very happy to see everyone's little faces back this morning and meeting some new faces as well.

It was a great start to the school year 2026-2027.

Here is some important information for drop off and pick up:

Drop off:

Lunch court gate opens at 7:30 AM. Students have the option to walk around the track on the blacktop.
Bell rings at 7:45 AM. Students need to line up on their designated classroom number at the blacktop.
Breakfast in the classroom is served between 7:45 and 8:00 AM

Dismissal:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Bell rings at 2:15 PM.
TK, Kinder and Room 5 are dismissed from the auditorium
Room 9, 2nd and 3rd grade are dismissed from the lunch court gate
4th and 5th grade are dismissed at the grass area by the flag pole
Minimum Days are Wednesdays. Dismissal for all the school is at 11:55 AM
If your child is in Primetime or Bayside, students will be dismissed to the afterschool staff.

Dear Carson Families,

It’s time again to nominate yourself or someone else to be a part of our School Site Council.

SSC Meetings last between 30 minutes to an hour every second Tuesday of the month.

The School Site Council is a governing body that is responsible for deciding how to spend of Title l and LCFF funding to improve the instructional program here at Carson Elementary.
The School Site Council members work together, to set goals, for improving student achievement at the school and allocating the funds to accomplish those goals.

Ha llegado nuevamente el momento de postularse a sí mismos o a otra persona para formar parte de nuestro Consejo Escolar (SSC, por sus siglas en inglés).

Las reuniones del SSC duran entre 30 minutos a una hora y se llevan a cabo el segundo martes de cada mes.

El Consejo Escolar es un órgano de gobierno responsable de decidir cómo utilizar los fondos de Título I y LCFF para mejorar el programa educativo aquí en la Escuela Primaria Carson.
Los miembros del Consejo Escolar colaboran para establecer metas orientadas a mejorar el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes y para asignar los fondos necesarios para alcanzar dichos objetivos.
